The original Utawarerumono just got an HD rerelease on PS4, but it hasn't been announced for western release. Yeah, no, this game for people who know what their doing. That doesn't mean it doesn't have some valid issues, but how much those issue will be a detriment really depend on you. It depends more on what you like about SRPGs than which you like. Once the decision is made, there's no going back, other than reloading an earlier file. As they level up, they learn more skills and you have to pick which ones to keep. There's three main points about this games' systems that immediately come to mind.
This game is actually an example of why in game theory people often say negative feedback is better than postitive feed back when it comes to keeping users engaged and having fternal.
For example, you might learn a stronger version of the defensive move you already have that blocks more damage, but your unit won't be able to use it as many times. There are other cases where it's worth having multiple versions of the same move, a weaker version with more uses for normal battles and a stronger version with less uses for the bosses.
